Monastery of St. Johann in Müstair

Wall paintings from the 9th century, and the oldest statue of Emperor Karl the Great which was once colourfully painted. The tower built from 957 is the oldest secular building in the Alps - a "Unesco Cultural Heritage building ".

Monastery museum and the Museum shop:
open January to December
Museum closed only on Christmas Day.
